ReedBed Antony

2026

There are some dogs who become part of your breeding history. And then there are those who become part of your heart.

In 2015, from my very first litter, ReedBed Antony, Tony, went to a very special person who believed in my breeding from the very beginning: Władysław.

At just 9 months old, Tony achieved his first win in September 2015, and what followed was an incredible journey. Under Władysław’s guidance, Tony grew into an outstanding working Labrador and became an International Working Champion.

Tony made history as the first dog from Poland to compete in the International Challenge Cup, and he represented Poland at many other important working events across Europe. His achievements are something I am immensely proud of, not only as a breeder, but as a friend.

But behind every great dog is a great partnership. Władysław and Tony have shared years of training, travelling, competition, success and, most importantly, an incredible bond.

In October 2025, Tony ran his last Working Test, and the Polish Gundog community gave him the most beautiful goodbye one could wish for. It was a wonderful tribute to a dog who has given so much and inspired so many.

Tony, you were the very first chapter of my breeding journey. And what a chapter you have written.

Władysław and Tony, you have more than earned your retirement. May the years ahead be filled with peaceful days, good health, long walks and plenty of time simply enjoying each other.

Thank you, Władysław, for believing in me, in my first litter and in Tony all those years ago. I will always be grateful that ReedBed Antony found his way to you.

Enjoy your retirement, boys. You have earned every single moment of it.

With love and enormous pride,
Ilona & ReedBed Gundogs
