Head Over Fields Hooligan of ReedBed „Hoolie“

Hoolie was bred especially for me by Nina Schneider out of ReedBed Abigail, a daughter of my beloved Apple. From the moment he arrived, there was something incredibly familiar about him.

My son summed him up perfectly when he said, „He walks like Apple, he wags like Apple, he acts like Apple.“ And he was absolutely right. Hoolie is, in so many ways, the male version of my treasured Apple.

When Apple passed away, I never imagined I would ever find another dog who would remind me so much of her. Yet as Hoolie matured, it became increasingly obvious just how much of Apple lives on in him. Not only in his appearance, but in his character, his expressions, his mannerisms and the way he approaches life.

Hoolie is an exceptionally athletic Labrador with tremendous drive and a natural enthusiasm for work. He possesses the style, determination and desire to please that I valued so highly in Apple. Whether in training or in the field, he gives everything wholeheartedly and never fails to put a smile on my face.

What touches me most, however, is the bond we share. The way he looks at me still gives me goosebumps. His loyalty is unwavering, and his devotion knows no bounds. He loves me with all his heart, and I love and adore him just as deeply.

Hoolie is much more than a dog carrying Apple’s bloodlines. To me, he is a precious reminder of a very special Labrador whose legacy continues to live on. Every day, he reminds me that truly great dogs never really leave us.
